Dale Laliberte

A mere seven points and lots of luck propelled Dale Laliberte into the BGN 2004 Season 1 championship. Dale and Richard Fenton battled neck and neck through the latter part of the season, exchanging the series lead three times during the race to Indy. In the end, a combination of a missed race and bad luck on the track would prove to be the deciding factor.

Throughout the season, Dale was able to consistently finish in the top 5, while Fenton was forced to battle back from early season adversity and a missed race, which set him back a considerable distance in points. It all came down to the last race of the season: Indianapolis. Unfortunately, this race's first caution would prove to be the undoing of Fenton, as he would get caught up in an early wreck that would cripple his motor. Though Richard would make up some ground through pit strategy, it wasn't enough to hold off Dale, who took advantage of Richard's misfortune to hold him off and take the championship.

Congratulations Dale...from all of us at MNRL. Your championship is well deserved and we are sure there are more to come.
