Adam Hamel

Adam Hamel joined the MNRL in early 2002, in what was our junior division, the ARCA Series. He was then known as "Bill" by all of those who raced against him. In 2002, Adam's talent was getting noticed by the brass in the Cup series and they asked him to join the ranks of the top drivers in May of 2002. Adam raced cleanly, carefully and gained knowledge during seasons 1 and 2 of 2002. In 2003, Adam started to really apply his talent. He would amass victories in the Cup Series and really challenge the upper ranks. He shined on the 1 mile and under short tracks. He would establish himself in the top 3 of the Cup series in 2003. The year 2004 would be both the low and high points of his MNRL career. After early retirement in the first few races of season 1, Adam decided to take a break from the Cup and join back up when season 2 started. He came back with a vengence, as he would take 3 victories and finish in the top 5 in 14 out of 18 races. His consistency and speed enabled him to take the Cup tittle by a margin of 175 points and proved that hard work and dedication reaps rewards. It took him a little while, but Adam can now take pride in having his name displayed among the MNRL Champions!
